Welcome to my new blog

Well here it is, after much deliberation over names and fonts and colour-schemes, my new blog for my next adventure: my semester studying in Melbourne, Australia. I awoke this morning to an email from the Australian immigration authorities granting my visa, which has come as a huge relief considering my flight leaves in six days. So I am ready to go. On Monday 2nd February I will be setting off with Chris to Brisbane by way of Hong Kong to the blistering sunshine of mid-summer Queensland. After a two-week holiday, I'll make my way to my new home in Clayton in the Melbourne suburbs where I will be studying at Monash University until June. After that I'll have two months with which I can travel and see the country, before making my way to Hong Kong for a three-week stopover in Asia before returning home on the 14th September in the nick of time to start back at uni in Liverpool for my final year.

So there is my sketchy plan for the following seven months of my life. How it will all fall together is yet to be seen, but that's how adventures happen. I hope I will have some interesting stories and beautiful photos to share on this blog, I hope I won't have to spend too much time at uni and will have plenty of time to spend on the beach, and I hope everyone who told me it always rains in Melbourne was just getting confused with Manchester. All these things are yet to be seen. Right now I need to pack up my backpack, check in to my flight and at some point confirm where I'm going to be living in Melbourne. I'll post next when I'm on the other side of the world.
